Almost everyone knows what or who is Moby Dick, but they do not know the origin of a story behind this amazing myth. In in the heart of the sea, it is trying to make an origin story about how Moby Dick could exist. The story starts with a novelist, Herman Melville, who is also the writer of Moby Dick, trying to get an amazing story about a monster issue of the sea by asking Thomas Nickerson, one of the survivors. It looks like that the movie wants to include the real writer to make this movie feels the exactly what happened back then. The story is well-packed with some epic adventures of the characters on the ocean and portrays it with  a realistic event about what happened. Not only about the adventure, it is also describing the social status back then perfectly. How Owen Chase can't be the captain even with a lot of experiences, because of George Pollard, who has higher status than Chase. The first sight of Large White Whale is amazing, big, beast, full of scratch that indicates it have survived many attacks from whale hunter. It protects other whales by attacking any ship who is trying to capture them. After this scene, something that I think too brutal happens to them. In order to survive, they do random vote to decide who will die and then, the others will eat his/her body. However, it looks real because we can't survive with nothing and this movie portrays it well. I have a little disappointment about the White Whale because it only appears several minutes, and there is no story why this White Whale exist. But in overall, this movie is amazing and I enjoy to watch it.
